Fat Friday Recipe!!!!

It is that day of the week that I told you I would try to type up a recipe for you. Now remember if you would like to participate please do so on your blog or in my comments section or email (check my profile page for email address) for non-bloggers. This can be any recipe you'd like. Since I am not a cook or baker mine are very simple.

Sloppy Joe Biscuits
1 can of Grande biscuits any flavor
1 pound of ground beef browned
1 can of sloppy joe sauce (Manwich Bold for me)
Cheese for garnishing

Make your Manwich as directed on the can. I don't know how many do this but after browning my hamburger a drain and rinse it with water. This helps remove the extra grease then I take a paper towel and wipe the bottom of the pan too. Preheat your oven to the temperature on the back of the Grande biscuits. Mine said 350 degrees. Take a biscuit and push it down in to your cupcake pan so that the sides come up.

Like this...

Fill the biscuits with the sloppy joe mix. Mine kinda runs over a bit but I want to make sure there is enough in each one. Put them in the oven for 12-17 minutes what ever the biscuit can says to cook them. Mine took the full length when I made them this week.

After they come out put your favorite cheese on top. Enjoy!

I know these are too simple, but my son and hubby loved them this week when I made them. You could put your chicken potpie mixture in them, or taco meat, the combinations are endless. If you'd like to add your Fat Friday recipe please do so below.

I also have to share this with you. My son who is 8 normally complains that all my stuff around the house is "old." Now he does like going to the antique stores with me on occasion. Well, he went to my Mom's house last week after Bible school one day and decided to do a little shopping on his own. My Mother is a hoarder. My Grandmother passed away about 13 years ago and my Mom brought a whole bunch of stuff home from her house and put it in the garage. This was so she could go through it later and keep what she wanted and throw out the rest. Yeah well... it's still all there. Molding and getting ruined because the garage is not heated and has a gravel floor. Anyway, so my son starts nosing around and spots this stuff and brings it home thinking I would like this...

I do like the bucket just not the dog!!! LOL but he tried. Well, you can't come home empty handed for yourself can you? No he picked this up for himself.

Yes this is a squirrel hall tree. Yes this use to be my sister and mine when we were younger. And yes my son dragged it to his room to "use." As you can see he now has all of his coats in his bedroom, which really has no room for this because of all his toys he insists on having in his room too. LOL. Then he proceeds to tell me that once my Mom cleans out this box he will be bringing that home too. No not just any box my toy box that is on casters from when I was a kid. He says he will put all his cars and trucks in there. I told him not in his room he's not since it has hard wood floors. I told he could have it if he puts it in the basement. I guess I can't complain he is reusing and helping my Mom clean out her stuff. LOL.

  6. Your son is so cute dragging home his newfound treasures. My son is very particular about what goes in his room too, but I draw the line at letting him keep his new golf clubs in there. That just sounds like a recipe for disaster! :)
