Make Do Chair

Steve and I were both off today, so as promised, we made a make do chair with absolutely no sewing involved!!!  It was 42 degrees out ( just a bit chilly) and it took all day because it was plan and work as you go.  We had to build from the bottom up literally.  So hopefully the tutorial will have you making them in no time :-). I have pictures that we took along the way and will be putting together a tutorial soon.

Before: We did have to finish cutting off the seat as it was not able to be saved.  I don't like altering old things, but we I didn't have a choice :-/  I was using this on the front porch before. lol.

After:  The plain fabric is linen like (I've seen it at Jo-Ann Fabrics) and the printed is upholstery fabric.  Both fabrics were found at the flea market where I have my booth. :-)  and they were really cheap!!!

The back:

Just thought I'd show you the end product first.  I work the next two days, so hopefully by the weekend I will have the tutorial done.

I have to make one of these someday.

Anonymous said...'s the fabric it reminds me of the 1806 fabric on my JB settle.

I'd say that was pure makeover magic!! :)
