Watcha Working on Wednesday

In honor of Leslie, who at the moment is at the fair having fun, I have decided to carry on with my Watcha Workin on Wednesday. Now, you will be allowed in for a rare glimpse into my real life. This is not a reenactment, this is the real thing. For those who have anxiety it is best not to look at this awful monster. Please go to someone elses blog. Ok.... for those who are left and enjoy walking on edge here it is... I am sure you have never seen anything like it... Oh the thought... I have no idea what to think... I am at a loss for words (for once) hehe not really!!! Oh the devastation....

The Day the Prim Fairy Threw Up!!!! (hehe Elise you know what I'm talking about)

Yes I am taking down my summer decor and packing it up. Hey look my goose is mooning you!!!! LOL.

I just kinda throw stuff everywhere until I decided where it should go. Notice the black and orange tub... yep color coordinate for fall. I keep all my fall in this color... fancy I know. I still have a couple more upstairs in the attic this is not all. Fear not!!!!

Don't get too excited yet... I'm sure my cabinet and dry sink won't stay like this. Things will move around a hundred times.

Ummmm... yeah I have all these Longaberger baskets that I don't really want to decorate with, but I spent lots of ebay money on these. They are very hard to fit in with what I envision.

Do you recognize the fruit??? LOL. Yeah they just move around the house. This probably won't stay like this either.

Last but not least my kitchen. I am so not happy with above my cupboards. I know what I want, but can't afford it and it makes me sad. I know give it time... but yet again it'll change.

Geez I should've taken pics of my basement too. I'm pretty proud of it, but I did that not too long ago so I won't do it again. Other than that I haven't done a darn thing. I need to though. I guess there is always tomorrow.

  1. I love decorating for the upcoming season. But I dread getting all the totes out and doing a switch a roo. It's messy and chaotic and I don't like it. Plus the boys get in all the stuff!!

I like the diplay above your kitchen cabinets. But I know what you mean, you have something else pictured but don't have the $ to do it. :(

I have no doubt that you will get everything in it's rightful place real soon! It looks like so much fun getting out all the fall decor...maybe I will follow your lead!

Thanks for the fun post, Mary!

  5. I know exactly how you feel...there's always the mess before you can enjoy your decor! I don't have that much fall decor (but I'd love to have more), but Christmas is like that! I have SO much and my house looks like a tornado went through it! Joy seems to love going through it rediscovering all the treasures and I want everything just so...I don't look forward to that part, but it's necessary!

And look at you...an orange and black tote....how organized of you!

Well I can't wait to see everything in place and all decked out for fall!

If you haven't read it today, I tried the Cabin Red paint, but it seemed pink against my kitchen wall. I don't know if it was something wrong with their paint or what...the guy said several people said that it didn't look like the paint sample and brought it back. Anyway, I was sure it was going to work. You can read the rest of the story on today's post.

    Have a great day!

  7. Mary,

PLEASE don't feel bad! I chose that color! I always ask for suggestions and I had like 7 or 8 up there to choose from and it actually coordinated BEST from the sample! I don't know if somthing was wrong with the paint or it took on pink because of the color it was next to? Who knows? But don't ever feel bad about suggesting anything you suggest! :) Where is this color in your home? Is that it I see on the bottom part of the walls? If so, it doesn't look pinkish as it did here....that makes me think really that it has to do with either lighting (I have alot of natural light in here), the wall color it's next to or an error with the paint. Did you think my door looked pink at first?

No, really, thank you for your help! I only ask for it because I want suggestions and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't! :) Thank you!

  17. I just laughed as I read your post--and felt your pain-LOL!! My least favorite part is the taking down and restoring. However, this year I will be able to decorate alone--hmmm, actually that thought kind of makes me sad. I've always had little ones to "HELP" me. Their all in school now. We'll see, maybe I will like less assistance and more concentration!! The top of your c upboards looks great. Thanks for such a fun post. Julie

  18. LOL my dining room looks like that too! Ha!

I used to SELL Lonagaberger baskets so I have many in the attic. I have primed up a few. Layers of paint and stain - and they came out pretty good. I need to do that to more of them!

Now I can't wait for your after pics.

  26. I think it's all looking quite nice! Sometimes I think we're just in our houses too much and look at things for too long to see what others do. You have a wonderful house and I can't wait to see your fall decorating finished :)

Thanks for carrying on without me :)
