The ride on the way to class was not as good as it was the weekend before so I only got a few pics. It is hard to take pics out the window and drive at the same time. LOL. So on the way home I did stop and take a few. Funny thing is I did not see any buggies on the road except one on my way to class and he was facing me. That is a no no taking pictures of their faces so I respected that and kept driving. Once fall gets here and the kids go to school I will go take some more pics in a different area. But as promised here's a couple pics.
This home is about 5 minutes from my house. It is an Amish home, but not like most other ones. Normally they are white and very neatly kept and tons of flowers. Sorry this was hard to take going around a curve... I believe they rent this home my hubby says. Fixed up wouldn't this be awesome!!!! All the windows are the original wavy glass.
This is where I was the entire last weekend and Saturday of this week. Yes, it's the jail aka "The Sheriff's bed and breakfast", but believe it or not I wasn't in that part. LOL. Yes this class was as boring as last week.
Of course I had to show a school. They don't really have much equipment to play on. Normally you see them all playing baseball or soccer in the yard. See the outhouse in the back. Yep no indoor plumbing still. Their school year is different because of planting and harvest. I am not sure how they do it though.
This is my absolute favorite house. You can get apple butter from them. I love the color of this Amish home. Normally she has a ton of laundry hanging outside.
I know this is pretty boring, but this is how they stack wheat by hand to dry. The original field I wanted to show you from last week was already picked up so I found this one.
Last but not least I found a buggy. I had to turn of the normal road to find one out to take a picture of. Sometimes you'll see some that are open wagons, some have head lights, some still use lanterns hung on the sides, but they are all according to law are suppose to have one of those orange triangle slow moving vehicle placards on the back.
Alright girls don't work yourself up too much as I don't want to hype up what I'm making too much. That way you aren't disappointed on Wednesday. LOL. Some of it fall and some of it is everyday. Unfortunately, I may not be able to give some of it up as I like it too much. LOL. That is the hardest part is giving up my items when I make them in the style I like, but if I know they are going to a good home that appreciates them it makes it easier. LOL.
OK... the third and final part of Tutorial Tuesday is tomorrow, so be ready to finish up your project. Have a great rest of the day! We are off to buy school shoes.
Thanks for sharing your pictures with us Mary!! I can't wait to see what you have made for Wednesday!
