I have been working on a few mini quilts since we last talked though. I know I should be working on Christmas stuff, BUT I LOVE fall and the beautiful colors that go along with it. I will continue to have my fall decorations up until after Thanksgiving, so I am still making things for fall. Anyway, I will be listing the mini quilts on my blog selling blog after I get them finished up. I am using the same material I used in my bigger quilt. These are also hand quilted, which seems to be going quite well this time around.
All I have left on this one is the binding...
I have to quilt a few more places then put the binding on and it too will be finished.
I've done a little Goodwill shopping too. I wasn't there for me, but for my son. He needed some more jeans. But since I was already there I looked around too. I will show you a few things that I found.
I have seen a lot of people finding these candle boxes. Up until now I haven't been able to find one. I'm still thinking of color, but I will be painting this.
I apologize for the photo, but I like this little cute Christmas looking bowl. There are a few waxy red spots in it, but if I put something in it you'll never see them.
I just LOVE the look of old books. I found these. Two of them were 88% off and then I got one free because it has been sitting there since July. I think I'm going to cover the free one with fabric since it's binding is missing.
I also found this pitcher for $10. It has a chip on the other side, but I figure turn it around like I did for the picture and no one will notice.
Like I said I found a few more things, but I'll save those for another day. I think I will try to do some redoes and repainting today. We will see because there is quite a bit of house work that needs to be done too. But if I'm going to coffee stain some fabric today would be the day. It's a bit chilly outside, but the sun is shining and should dry the fabric quite quickly. Well, I need another cup of coffee and then I'm off to start my day. I hope your have a great Monday!
Great finds! Love the pitcher. I have a large collection of those. I find them at our GW all the time.

Your quilts are beautiful! Are you using a book for your patterns? I'd like to make some mini quilts but I don't know of a good book/pattern. Love your GW finds. I hope you get to feeling better!

Sounds like you had a lot going on. That's what I love about crafting... it relaxes you and lets you just concentrate on the moment. Your quilting projects are coming along nicely! I too love the colors of fall and finding myself gravitating towards those colors more and more.
ReplyDeleteYou've got me itching to hit a thrift store again! I adore old books, those are wonderful! Lots of great goodies!
