Happy Monday!

Hi everyone!  Seems as though I've been away for a very long time.  Thank you everyone for your well wishes for Steve and me.  We are back together and working very hard to make changes and communicating.  One of the things I'm working on is to start dressing a little more fashionably.  Most times on my days off you'll find me wearing t-shirts, sweatshirts, or jeans.  When I paint and craft this is still what I'm going to wear. lol.  My sister always looks so well put together when I see her, so the one day I was telling her what I was doing and showed her some "new" clothes I bought at the Goodwill.  So, on Saturday she was at the GW and she leaves me a voicemail where she is and said there were a bunch of capri's in my size.  So, I jumped in my car and met her down there.  Long story short... I came home with some great looking clothes that compliment my body type. The ones I had already bought were wrong for my body type.  Oh well, I'm still keeping them :-)  My sister has been reading a book "Good Girls Don't Have to Dress Bad." by Shari Braendel.  Basically, the book tells you how to dress for your body shape.  I need to camouflage my butt and hip area!!! LOL  I also need to stay away from V neck type shirts because well, I'm not well endowed.  That means I need to find longer more flowing type shirts to draw attention away from my problem areas.  Anyway, I had fun and I think my sister did too because she wants to do it again.  I call it Dress Barbie Day. LOL.

In the meantime, I have been able to get a little crafting in.  I'm really trying to finish up my UFO's. These boxes have been sitting in my crafting hutch for awhile now.  I have a hexagon shape set left to do.  Anyway, enough with the talking... LOL

I LOVE this red and mustard set!  It is For Sale $30 includes shipping.

The black and mustard set is already SOLD, but I really like this one too.

My Americana Boxes I painted. $30.00 includes shipping.

In progress:

I have this towel rack in the works.  It too will be for sale when I finish it.

A scoop I started and will be for sale too.

I also have a few more Amish clothing pieces I came across.

This actually a seafoam green Amish onesie.  $7.00 includes shipping.

A 5 year old size Amish little boys outfit. $10.00 includes shipping.

This is actually peach crepe Amish children's dress.  $7.00 includes shipping.

I also have this beautiful blanket for sale. Excellent condition. $17.00 includes shipping.

Well, today I must do my mountain of laundry.  This means I will be in my workshop creating and painting since the washer and dryer are right there.  It's suppose to rain, so I won't feel bad if I stay in all day.  I also had a request from a Facebook friend to make her a quilted table runner, so I need to start thinking on a design for that also.  I'm going to keep busy today as tomorrow is my day in court for my bankruptcy.  I excited and anxious all at the same time.  I know it will be painless, but I just hate going to court proceedings for anything.  Ugghhh.

I will see you all in a few days :-)

Busy Busy Busy

Did you think I dropped of the face of the earth? You wouldn't be that lucky. LOL.  I have been cleaning out my hoard.  Yes, you heard me right.  I started in my kitchen/bathroom and have worked my way through 4 closets and my bedroom so far.  The kitchen cabinets got rearranged and I got rid of stuff I haven't used or don't plan to use.  I'm telling you it feels awesome! I'm actually able to let go of my stuff.  I actually have an empty closet now.  I have a decent size closet in my master bath for storage and it is empty!  OK I have the old light fixture from my bedroom in there because the landlord says I have to keep them.  Yes, my friends, I also changed out the light in my bedroom.  I feel so empowered now!!!! I use to rely on husbands or boyfriends to do that for me, but by golly I did it!!!!  My son and I had to go to Lowe's and get some simple tools since Steve took his when he left.  So, look out! I now have my own tools. I have one more light to change out this weekend.  I should've taken more pictures, but how boring to look at closets right?  But, my bedroom is now girlified and rearranged a bit.  I haven't shown you it for a long time, so I thought I'd share.

LOL I forgot to take my pink phone out of the picture.

I need to hide my cord better.

I still have one side of my room I'm working on.  The top of my dresser (since the TV is gone) and a small wall beside it.  Once I get those figured out I'll add those pictures.  Below is the light I hung in my bedroom.  It looks awesome!!!! And look it even works!!!! LOL.

While I was cleaning and hanging my light my son made dinner for me last night.  It was a frozen pizza, but nonetheless he did it.  He cut it up and put it on plates and brought it to me.  He is such an awesome kid!  He and I have been hanging out and playing Scrabble in the evenings these past few days.  My daughter is here, but prefers to be in her bedroom, so I let her do that.  I'm done trying to make her be with the family.  This is just part of her Asperger's wanting to be alone in her room.  I have been making great strides since Steve left.  Something clicked and I'm finally OK with him not being here.  We haven't texted much, OK I texted him more than he did me.  He did reply a few times, but most times he doesn't.  Oh well, I guess it must not be too hard to get over me even after 3 years.

Wait! I forgot I took these pics of my first closet in the bathroom in my downstairs.

Before:

All this was in there!!!!

After:

Much better don't you think.  I want to redecorate this bathroom soon.

I also have a few things I will be selling on my selling blog.  I just need to get the pictures together and prices.  I'm guessing it'll be next week Tuesday or Wednesday.  I will let you know for sure. :-)  I also have a lot more to go through.  I'm not finished yet!

Take care my friends and Happy Easter!

Thank You and Finished

Thank you everyone for your hugs and prayers.  I really needed them getting through yesterday and this morning.  Lots of crying and no eating going on.  I was home by myself all day until my daughter came home at 8pm.  I, of course, did a lot of thinking and soul searching.  I still believe I am not ready to let go of Steve.  There are some things in his life that just overwhelmed him and I didn't make it any easier and he reacted like me when I asked him to leave.  You just don't know what to do so you lash out at the ones you love.  I am hoping in time when our hearts mend we can at least sit down and figure out where to go from here.  I would rather have him as a friend than nothing at all.  Only time will tell and I believe if we were meant to be together it will happen even if it takes another 3 years to get back to where we were.  Until then I am making changes in my life that need to be made for me.

Since idle hands can get into trouble (meaning I kept wanting to text or call Steve all day yesterday and yes this morning) I decided to finish up my quilt.  I want to thank all of you who suggested to use the spray basting.  The backing of this is the best I've ever done.  It turned out fantastic!  I think I like making smaller quilts better than big ones.  These don't take as long. LOL

So all washed up here it is...

I had to add a little brown to the backing because I was like an inch short and I didn't want to cut my squares down because then it would look funny.  I just LOVE this fabric!

I have another piece of LOVE fabric that I'm eying for the next backing of a quilt. This was a thrift store find too. Just in time for summer don't you think?  I think you all know that I'm thinking Americana quilt.

I apologize for not visiting and answering each of you individually, but every time I talk or think about it I start crying.  My heart is still broken and only time will heal it.  I hope you have a great day.

Good Bye My Love

Good bye my love.  I write this with a broken heart and sadness, but also at peace.  I hope you find the happiness you are looking for that I couldn't provide.  I know your family will be around you to help you through this as they are a big part of your life.  You made me see things I needed to change in MY life and I thank you.  I will still work to change those things even though you won't be here to see it. You will always have a very special place in my heart and I will always have a special love for you.  After all, 3 years is a very long time to not be able to let go. We laughed, I cried, you were by my side through the good and bad times.  I'm very sorry it had to end like this.  I do understand and I am not angry with you.  Like I said, I'm glad you made a decision.  It wasn't the one I had hoped for, but now we can move on in our life's journeys.  Take care of you my friend. I will miss you.
