For the most part I do decorate with my jars. Here are just a few ways. I need to find more things to put in my jars. I would like to find some chestnuts, or walnuts, or things like that, but we don't have them where I live. So many of my jars are empty right now. But if you look at Fruit of Her Hands Website and blog my friend Jill has some awesome drieds she puts in hers.
Ann from This Simple Life of Mine loves the blue jars too and I told her I would keep my eye for her. I found some for her yesterday and emailed her quick to jump on them. You know it's times like that you wished you had all of your friends on here phone numbers. I was so excited. She told me this morning she bought six. I am so glad I could help her out. For those waiting on my Amish dresses I will sort through them this weekend and let you know which will be for sale.
Well, I know this is short, but I have got to get to crafting. I received and order and must get it started and hopefully finished this weekend.
I love jars, too! The blue ones are my fav and if they have an old zinc lid, it's even better! I have my sugar, flour, brown sugar and tea bags in blue mason jars and now have them in a canner basket on my kitchen table holding my silverware. I want to get a whole bunch and just line them all up and leave them empty! They're so simple and yet so pretty!

I want to have an entire cabinet just full of empty ones. I like the way they look just the way they are.

ReplyDeleteI saw someone (you may have seen them somewhere too) put old sepia toned photos inside the jar...it looked so cool. I haven't tried it but I think I might!

Oh! I had photos in jars on two shelves for a few years! I used any old jar that we had around here and painted all of the lids white. It was really cute but I got tired of it after a few years and wanted more space for my Prims, so they went bye-bye. It's a very inexpensive way to display family photos :)

ReplyDeleteI love jars too and I did the rust technique on some a few months ago. There is something about a jar waiting to be filled!
ReplyDeleteA cheap way to fill jars is with different dried peas and beans. They come in so many colors and textures!
